    100,000 budgeted from CoC Planning Grant
  23. How many people did your CoC require to conduct its 2017 PIT count? (Staff, volunteers, and others)

    4 FTE, 750 volunteers, and PIT consulting firm.

  24. How many of those identified in Question 22 were volunteers?

    750 volunteers. special effort made for our youth count and 229 youth peer surveyors and youth volunteers

  25. Does your CoC recruit volunteers for its unsheltered PIT count from organizations outside the homeless services community?



    General request is made to the San Francisco Community as well as homeless providers, Human Services Agency employees, other government agencies, and Youth.

  26. Please share your perspective on the reasons your CoC's unsheltered homeless population in 2017 did or did not change from that in its previous unsheltered PIT count.

    PIT numbers changed slightly within the City and County of SF, however there were dramatic increases in the surround counties in the Bay Area. San Francisco's slight increase was seen on one hand as discouraging but also indicative of well positioned programs within the community.

  27. Has your CoC reallocated funding in the past?



    Reallocation during the CoC NOFA process is done under HUD stewardship to increase permanent support housing opportunities and decrease transitional housing projects within the CoC housing portfolio.

  28. How often does your CoC reevaluate final priority rankings for the HUD CoC Program Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA), based on HUD priorities?

    There were no projects that were reallocated as the result of the last CoC NOFA, however in past years alternative general funds were sought for reallocated projects.


  32. Does your CoC have a strategic plan that integrates other publicly-funded programs that provide services, housing, and income supports to poor persons whether they are homeless or not (mainstream benefits and services)?

    not formalistic. current strategic plan is a five year plan

  36. How has your strategic plan benefited your CoC?

    Plan was just implemented in 10-2-2017. Places a premium on Coordinated Entry and matching proper services and housing type to each client, diversion (which has yet to be implemented) and rapid housing.

    HUD CoC Competition Private Volunteer (in kind) and monetary donations. HUD ESG and State ESG for Rapid Rehousing Providers engage in MOD Rehab Programs with CoC approval Providers engage in Now Place Like Home Initiative through CoC approval
