The Alliance home office should update and formalize its procurement policies and procedures manual to establish competitive bidding thresholds for the procurement of goods and services, and it should provide adequate training to appropriate staff before the start of the 2017-18 school year.

Alliance has updated and formalized its procurement policies and procedures manual and appendix to establish competitive bidding thresholds for the procurement of goods and services. Alliance has trained all required staff at the home office and schools, and implementation of these policies and procedures is underway.

California State Auditor's Assessment of 6-Month Status: Fully Implemented

Alliance College-Ready Public Schools (Alliance) provided its July 2017 Fiscal Policies and Procedures manual that included competitive bidding thresholds for the procurement of goods and services. Alliance also provided documentation demonstrating staff attended training for these policies and procedures.


60-Day Agency Response

Alliance has updated and formalized its procurement policies and procedures manual and appendix to establish competitive bidding thresholds for the procurement of goods and services. Alliance is in the process of training staff at the home office and schools and will be able to finish training for all staff in the beginning of July 2017.
