    To track our homeless population numbers annually and to comply with HUD

    More agencies involved, increased donations of items for outreach efforts, more coordination between agencies, more agency staff assisting with the count that police department staff

    Making sure we are getting an accurate count of people who are in Napa County, but outside of the City. We have taken additional steps to work with community organizations and law enforcement to make sure everyone is aware of the count and the reasons for it, doing a lot of pre-work to identify where homeless people are staying.

    It has led us to creating a Working Group to End Veterans Homelessness and identifying trends in numbers

    One issue we had in 2017 was flooding, due to rain, at the time of the count. A lot of our homeless population camp along the riverbanks and they were forced to move to unknown locations due to flooding.
